Mack and Coulson prove to be a fun pairing, and I've heard there's going to be some great shotgun axe scenes coming up. May, Simmons and Fitz settled about where you'd expect, though it is really fun and interesting that Simmons is now the most senior member of the squad. Having her pulled deeper into the vigilante world through Ghost Rider's vengeful quest feels more true to her journey than seeing her return back to SHIELD - as she repeatedly notes, everyone has something they care about, and she's doing her best not to fall into that trap again.īack at home base, there's a lot going on with the tensions between the various members of the SHIELD team. Though viewers have seen her try hard over the past few years to find her place within SHIELD, it's much truer to Daisy's personality that she break off as a loner. It would have been easy to have Coulson and Mack find Daisy in the premiere and try to bring her back into SHIELD, but it's much more interesting to have her on Robbie's tail. Then there's Daisy, who is so determined to not lose another person close to her that she is still evading Coulson's attempts to bring her in, and has become a bit of a vigilante in the process. Fitz is now keeping lies from Simmons, the team is split up, Coulson is no longer Director of SHIELD and the person who replaced him doesn't have a lot of love in his heart for the ragtag bunch that came before him. A lot has changed after the time jump that ended Season 3, and not all of it for the better. The darker tone works best when it means the series is free of its formerly cheery demeanor. To use, apply the product to the stain, and let sit for 30–60 minutes. This broom actually collects even the tiny stray hairs and deposits them in the dust pile without me having to get my hands dirty (literally)." - Sarah R. Not only is it great for getting the fur off rugs, but it’s also even better on the hard floors. My regular broom catches some of the hair (which I then have to clean off by hand) but much of it just swirls away in the breeze the sweeping creates. It takes some elbow grease but it gets the fur off the area rug in my living room. I decided to take a chance on this broom and I am so happy I did. Our downstairs is all hard flooring with area rugs and I hate lugging my Shark vacuum every couple of days but just daily sweeping with a regular broom wasn’t cutting it. Well, we recently got a dog - a black Great Pyrenees mix. We’ve had short-haired cats for years and I had a rubber upholstery brush that never seemed to do anything. Promising review: "I really didn’t expect this to work. Two of mine were only on for 24 hours, and I think that prolonged the process." - Chelsea Gipson Make sure you follow the instructions and keep it on for 48 hours at a time. Make sure you put the bandage on tight enough to try and conceal the smell, but not so tight that it hurts. It looks like the entire wart came off, roots and all. I'm left with some raw skin that's a bit sensitive, but it feels fine. Seventh bandage: The wart stuck to the medicine, so when I pulled off the bandage, the wart went with it. The wart was really soft, but it wouldn't budge. Fifth bandage: The skin continued to crack, and I could see the wart separating. Fourth bandage: The skin around the wart started to crack. One day was REALLY painful, but now I think I just put the bandage on too tight. Third bandage: It started burning while wearing it. Second bandage: The top layer of the wart started disappearing and I could see the blood vessels that were inside it clearly. What is that?! Seriously?! If you also did not know that moving hair creates a sound, you need to buy this product ASAP." - Samantha Like I put it up in a hair tie afterwards, and I could HEAR MY HAIR MOVING ON MY HEAD. My ears feel so squeaky clean! And get this, my hair makes sounds. Where was this coming from? Why is my body making so much wax? Where was it being stored, because I did NOT think ear canals were that spacious, but apparently there are some storage closets in there or something because HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD the ear nuggets are real. Literally chunks of ear wax came out of my ear holes the SIZE OF CORN KERNELS. If you are looking at it and thinking about it, YOU NEED IT. The above reviewer photos show a before/after of the inside of their ear with the wax buildup removed. Read more about how to safely clean out clogged ears at Cleveland Clinic. But then when I pause I end up realizing it's likely *because* more advanced games can't even "afford" forest that lush and packed with so much tree and detail without performance taking a massive hits so much they've pushed things which forces people to either have massive overpriced hardware to run things at full detail or cut down in detail until everything is but an incomplete picture of what it should be like an incomplete canvas.īut because Valheim has such forgiving requirement thanks to it's approach, it's able to not only give but *procedurally generate* complete canvas from the get-go, amazing us with the fullness of it's environment. work? Like "I sometimes feel like I'm staring at wonderful papercraft diorama" work.īack to Valheim, I sometimes I have to even pinch myself when wandering it's forests and grassy fields because they are so much more immersive than other more "advanced" games despite all the pixelated textures. make for an utterly gorgeous experience.Īmusingly the only other game I can think of pulling a similar "lo-fi but GORGEOUS" might be the Octopath Traveller folks with how they simply made a world of simple 3D with literally 16bits pixel textures and 2D character sprites but then overlaid the whole with beautiful lighting and other effects like gorgeous water and it just. It's just that it understood that "having access to modern tech" doesn't mean you're always absolutely have to constantly go "push hardware to the max because that's the only standard of pretty for some" and instead decided to scale back to a MUCH more approachable hardware requirement that, thanks to wonderful art direction and other aspects it's more forgiving graphics allows. Because in truth, it's a very modern game you see it in the lighting engine, the water, the use of normal mapping. Honestly, I like how this game manage to not only have this low texture resolution/low polycount models approach for lower requirements but also *rolls with it*. Again of an exageration but gosh it feels such sometimes. I mean, I exagerate but honestly I love how this game bucks the trend of graphics direction that see prettier graphics sometimes purely in terms of "higher resolution/polycount/etc support than X" to the point of sometimes forgeting. "But the texture resolution isn't 4K like I bought overpriced hardware for". Originally posted by CGA:yep i personally dont get why some complain about the graphics. This short note is to document my recent research on that front to help others who want to do the same (as there doesn't seem to be a lot of good current info around). This blog is full of past experiences (some of them quite time-consuming) on finding notebook hardware that will work without too much fiddling. Unfortunately it is still much harder than necessary to find notebook hardware to use with Ubuntu (or other Linux variants). Unfortunately, this seems to be no exception with electronics manufacturers (Hello Kerlink!). There are several reports of such problems in the forum with no answers. No thanks to Microchip as their forum and firmware release policy is a bit of a shocker. home/USERID/.java/.userPrefs/dfu/prefs.xml /home/USERID/.java/.userPrefs/fed/prefs.xml If you chose the default install location you can now start the utility java -jar ~/Microchip/LoRaSuite/Applications/LoRaDevUtility/LoRaDevUtility.jar A big thank you goes to The Things Network user JBI - who provided this answer in a TTN forum post. I ended up installing Oracle JDK 8 as well as I thought the error might be related to OpenJDK. This should work with the default OpenJDK 8 or 9 which comes as part of the Ubuntu repositories. Prerequisites Install a Java JDK + JavaFX. Having just wasted a few hours on getting this Java software running on Linux I am documenting this for future reference and hopefully saving other LoRa / TTN folks some time. Out of the box, QOwnNotes looks like an app from the 90s, but you adjust the appearance. Back on the previous screen click ‘Finish’. Next, is a dialogue box to setup your NextCloud Server settings.Ĭlick the settings button, enter your NextCloud connection info, and click the “Connect to oC/ NC Server”. TLDR make sure you pick the right folder. It took me a while to figure out why my notes were not syncing to my NextCloud instance. So when I clicked through here it created a different Notes folder. The Create folder check box is checked by default. However, my NextCloud folder is “NextCloud”, with a capital ‘C’, the path above has a lowercase ‘c’. I assumed it was detecting my NextCloud directory, and found my Notes folder. The screen above caused me a bunch of confusion, that I admit took my WAY too long to figure out. Now I can launch QOwnNotes from the application launcher and get into the configuration screens. Qownnotes 18.08.9 pbek - Plain-text file notepad with markdown support and ownCloud / Nextcloud integration The setup of QOwnNotes is very easy, as the developer has created a snap package. You can start creating notes now within NextCloud. Now, you should have the Notes app and a Notes directory. Go back to Apps and select the “Integration” category. Next, enable the QOwnNotes API integration within NextCloud. You should see the Notes icon with your apps. How to Install QOwnNotes on Ubuntu 22.04 Step 1: Add QOwnNotes Repository Step 2: Update Repository Step 3: Install QOwnNotes Step 4: Running QOwnNotes. Go to Apps, the the “Office and Text” category, and click the ‘Enable’ button under the Notes app. To setup note taking integration, you first need to enable the Notes application within NextCloud. You do need a working NextCloud setup, you can see how I did mine in this post. Honestly, I wish I had looked at this sooner. QOwnNotes can work without a NextCloud integration, and you can use it with just about any syncing application, Dropbox, SeaFile, Syncthing, etc. It gives you the ability to tag notes, search them, has quick, customizable shortcuts, and has some scripting ability (which I haven’t dug into yet.) It supports Markdown, which I have become a fan of the more I use GitLab/GitHub and Ghost. QOwnNotes is a nice, cross-platform note taking application that integrates with the NextCloud Notes application. Most of my note taking has reverted to just text files that reside spread across my Documents directory, and I have no good way of organizing them. Most of my data that was previously in Evernote, I had exported to folders in my Dropbox, but while I kept it, I didn’t really use it anymore. I had stopped using Evernote a few years ago, when I had switched my daily driver to Linux. The next part of this migration is something that is a LONG time coming, replacing Evernote. Unfortunately, it does not give you full control over your privacy on your very own PC. Windows lets you manage some of the available privacy settings in a new easier to use dashboard. While this means that you and your contacts do not have to grapple with complicated WLAN passwords, it also poses a significant security risk. Windows 10 and 11 quite freely shares your personal data with Microsoft and certain apps. Anyone looking to get into a custom DAW PC should at least give Jim a call. I get no financial compensation (or otherwise) for recommending Jim's product and service, other than the personal satisfaction I've given the very best advice I can offer. My last two personal studio PCs are from Jim and I couldn't be more pleased with their performance and value. Furthermore, Jim is just a genuinely great guy who takes fantastic care of his clients before/during and most importantly after the sale. By the "best" I mean I've never met or known anyone with more custom DAW knowledge or experience than Jim. While I no longer provide custom DAW service, by far the best in the business I ever encountered is Jim Roseberry of Purrrfect Audio. I made it a point to know most of the custom builders (many have come and gone), their design philosophy, and what their clients thought of their product and service. I loved it, lived it, but it became massively time consuming keeping up with the technology and competition. To build a superior performing PC that was on the cutting edge of speed and stability while remaining cool and quiet was a challenge I relished. Personally, I found the custom design/build process to be absolutely fascinating. Some for myself, but mostly for paying clients (to rave reviews) as a serious hobby/side hustle. I have successfully designed and built dozens of custom DAW PCs over the years going back to the 90's. As such, we think you should take this with more than the usual grain of salt." While this may be the release date, it is noteworthy that this lands a full week before Fall, and we're more accustomed to vendors releasing at the tail end of the designated window rather than before it.
